Data to support my conclusions on what can be done

There is still a great deal of research being done to determine the effects that global warming has had on kelp forests and their growth. However, we can draw conclusions from the kelp growth in recent years and correlate that data with the water temperature around the globe. We can determine that kelp is a sustainable crop to grow and harvest but also that we can impact its health very easily. Kelp’s future is positive since it is harvested in a positive manner that looks to minimize the impact that we have on the oceans.

This is a graph showing the increase in ocean water temperature over the last 130 years. This
is a progression that needs to be monitored to ensure the health of our oceans.

This is a graph of the tons of kelp that have been harvested over the last decade. You can see the tremendous spike in tons harvested in 2000, which to my knowledge and research there is no single reason for.
